Gestational trophoblastic neoplasia, a case report.

La neoplasia trofoblástica gestacional comprende un amplio espectro de enfermedades invasoras de la placenta, entre las cuales se encuentran la mola invasora, coriocarcinoma, tumor del sitio placentario y tumor trofoblástico epitelial. Caso clínico: se analiza el caso clínico de una paciente de 26 años de edad en periodo postparto, en la cual se realizó un diagnóstico tardío de coriocarcinoma debido a una baja sospecha clínica y a una presentación inusual de la enfermedad. El objetivo de este trabajo es concientizar al lector acerca de la importancia de establecer un diagnóstico preciso y oportuno de la enfermedad trofoblástica gestacional (ETG). Adicionalmente, se realizará una discusión juiciosa del tema que aporte elementos para hacer un diagnóstico y clasificación temprana de la enfermedad, con el fin de disminuir las complicaciones asociadas a la misma.
