Introduction: Hairy cell leukemia (HCL) is a malignant neoplasm of B lymphocytes. Histologically, it is characterized by lymphocytes with multiple hair-like projections. Its immunophenotype is positive for CD123, CD103, CD25, CD11c, annexin A and its genotype presents a somatic mutation in the BRAFV600E gene. It is considered a rare disease, accounting for only 2% of all leukemias. However, there are few epidemiological data in Colombia. Clinical cases: we present four cases of patients diagnosed with PCL who were managed with the standard protocol cladribine-rituximab in an institution in the city of Bogotá. This work seeks to provide information to local epidemiology and raise awareness of the disease. Conclusion: the complete remission of the disease in the present case series is consistent with the evidence available in the literature. Studies with greater statistical power are needed to more accurately assess the therapeutic response to this protocol and the detection of minimal residual disease.
