Admissions to the intensive care unit (ICU) of patients with hematological malignancies (NH) are usually common. The interventions are aimed at acute management (ventilatory support, vasopressor); another intervention is chemotherapy (CT). The literature related to mortality in patients with NH who receive CT in the ICU is poor. Objective: To summarize the information available on mortality in patients with HN receiving CT in the ICU. Methods: Studies published between 2011 and 2021 of patients with NH admitted to the ICU who received CT during their stay were analyzed. The databases PubMed, Scielo, LILACS, Cochrane Library, Science Direct and Google Scholar were explored. The review was carried out according to the Joanna Brigss Institute (JBI) methodology for scoping reviews, adhering to the PRISMA-ScR guidelines. Results: 10 articles were included. Mortality was between 25 and 76.5%. Lymphoma was, with 50%, the most prevalent HN. The indications for CT in the ICU were as a treatment for the underlying pathology or as life support. Conclusion: CT is a feasible option in patients with NH selected within the ICU, However, prospective studies are required to corroborate the findings.
